Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (1-day)

Designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

This course covers; 

- Roles & responsibilities of the emergency first aider,

- Unresponsive casualties and the recovery position,

- Adult CPR & AED,

- Choking,

- Bleeding and Shock,

- Treatment for minor injuries.

Level 3 First Aid at Work (3-day)

Renewal course (2-days)

Specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.

This course covers everything in the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, plus;

- Burns & Scalds,

- Fractures & Dislocations,

- Sprains & Strains,

- Head injuries and spinal injuries,

- Asthma, Hyperventilation, Diabetes and Anaphylaxis,

- Poisoning,

- Heart Attacks and Strokes,- Seizures.

Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1-day)

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present. Providers should also take into account the number of children, staff and layout of the premises and increase their paediatric first aid provision accordingly.

This course covers;

- Roles & responsibilities of the Paediatric first aider,

- Unresponsive casualties and the recovery position,

- Child & Baby CPR and AED,

- Choking,

- Bleeding & Shock,

- Bites & Stings,

- Seizures,

- Treatment for minor injuries.

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (2-days)

Specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework. It is ideal for those who have gained a level 2/3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate in order to comply with the EYFS requirements.

This course covers everything in the Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification, plus;

- Burns & Scalds,

- Fractures & Dislocations,

- Sprains & Strains,

- Head injuries and spinal injuries,

- Asthma, Hyperventilation, Diabetes, Meningitis and Anaphylaxis,

- Poisoning,

- Eye, ear and nose conditions,

- Seizures and febrile convulsions.

First Aid for Schools (1/2 day)

These Basic First Aid sessions are ideal for lunchtime supervisors, classroom assistants and other staff who don’t need a formal first aid qualification, but some basic knowledge and skills on a range of first aid subjects, tailored to the school environment.

This course covers;

- Adult and Child CPR and AED,

- Unresponsive casualties and the recovery position,

- Choking,

- An introduction to; head injuries, asthma, anaphylaxis and seizures.

Key Stage 2 Basic First Aid (1/2 day)

First Aid is an important and useful life skill and it was added to the school syllabus in 2020.

 

Our Basic First Aid sessions are age appropriate and cover all of the required content through fun and engaging activities that also involve teamwork, problem solving and some simple role play.

 

We also like to include an open Q&A session, where children can ask whatever first aid related questions they like.
