A new customer!
We have been working with a new customer, HD Property Maintenance Limited. As well providing some training for their staff, we have developed a new website and helped them with their Health and Safety policies, procedures and documentation.
Take a look at and get in touch if we could help your business.
Video based, online training courses now available!
We now offer a range of online, elearning courses in a wide variety of Health & Safety, Fire Safety and social care subjects.
These courses are all video based, produced in partnership with a video production company and rather than pages and pages of text to read through, they are 'presented' to you by an on screen host and are accredited by various relevant organisations. 2018 has been a busy year!
It's been another record breaking year for MIEtraining. For the first time since we were established in 2011, we have trained over 1,000 people in a calendar year.
Feedback has remained extremely positive, with over 90% of learners rating their overall course 10 out of 10.
We're now looking forward to delivering even more Motivating, Inspiring and Educational training in 2019!
Restart a Heart Day 2018
On 16th October 2018 we supported the, now global, Restart a Heart Day, improving on last years total by training 120 local children in CPR and how to use a defibrillator.
The sessions were delivered at the library in Blythe Bridge, which has a public access defibrillator outside.
All of the children were amazing and showed a lot of interest in the subject. I'm sure there's a few future First Aiders, Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics amongst them!
Training Guide Published
Our owner, David Cartlidge, has written a guide summarising some of the key theories and approaches to developing yourself to being a great trainer of any classroom, face-to-face type training session.
The guide can be downloaded under the services tab on our website, or by clicking on the picture of the cover page to the right. If you are involved in training, we hope that you find it interesting and useful.
We always aim to keep our training current and we're always looking for new qualifications and services that we can offer.
With this in mind we attending the Qualsafe Awards conference on 27th April 2018, attending some very interesting sessions on a variety of subjects and got to play with the latest equipment and training aids, including these QCPR Manikins.
We're also attending a Manual handling instructor course in May and will be adding people handling qualifications to our services.
We have joined up with the Blackfriars Teaching Schools Alliance (TSA) to provide First Aid, Paediatric First Aid and Fire Safety training for their customers.
We delivered the first few courses in January and February 2018 and the feedback was really positive. We're looking forward to delivering a lot more courses together.
What a year it's been!
In 2017 we delivered more courses to more people (500+) than we have in any previous year!
Feedback has continued to be excellent, with our average feedback score remaining a very impressive 9.9 out of 10 and over 99% of learners said that they felt confident to put what they had learnt into practice.
2018 is already looking busy, so we're hopeful it will be another record breaking year of delivering professional and enjoyable training!
First Aid Survey Results
At the start of October 2017 we conducted a survey of first aiders, looking at ow confident they felt to perform CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and treat someone who was choking.
The results showed that male first aiders are more confident and confidence improves with age, with regular training and with better training.
